The Commercial and 22nd Street Project (COMM22) is a mixed-use, transit oriented development combining affordable family and senior rental housing with day care facilities, community-serving commercial and retail space, office space, market rate live/work lofts, and for-sale townhomes.  The lofts will be housed in a rehabilitated warehouse building, with the remainder of the development consisting of new construction. The development will also include enhanced plaza areas for public gathering, strong pedestrian connectivity throughout the site and convenient access to public transportation.

The proposed project will provide significant upgrades to area infrastructure, including: streetscape improvements, storm drains, water and sewer lines, and under grounding of power lines.

COMM22, LLC is leasing the land from the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD).
